This is the mayor pro tem of Denison who came to our reunion banquet to welcome us to back home and to proclaim the day of the banquet as Anderson-Terrell day.

I wondered if anyone caught the irony in the moment considering our status (segregation) when we attended our all black high school way back when.

He, of course, did not congratulate us on our success in spite of the history of disenfranchisement, isolation and enforced stereotypes.

I wondered if he caught the irony of the moment in the moment.

Unfortunately, he could not stay and join us in our celebration because he had another engagement.

Hey, where is our key to the City?
